This evocative informal study shows Edward Halliday's fiancee, Dorothy Hatswell, and fellow student Russell Meiggs (holder of the 1925 Pelham Studentship)  relaxing in deck chairs on the roof terrace of the British School at Rome. A panoramic view of the Borghese Gardens can be seen behind.
